The Fall Wardrobe

One of the pages I made for my magazine assignment. =)

It's December =)

So here's the post of the month and now I am free from stress and anxiety of completing my weekly and individual assignments, because I have already completed the course! I feel that time really flies so fast that the course has ended and now I do not need to stay up late at night (very late) for all the drawings, paintings and finding new ideas or in presenting the draft design.  Oh but in less than a month's time I am continuing for the next term, I expect the course to be less stressful as there's going to be just one class per week unlike the one I have just completed.

Here's the  gift given to me for one of the contests we took part, I won that particular contest so I got this PAIR of salt and pepper bottle in the look of two killers. The box that came with the bottles was made by a student. Then here's the closer look of the bottles.
Creative huh? =)

Do not judge

Stereotypes are not always true.

Don't be surprised that people tend to make assumptions, effortlessly putting labels on each other, judging another person or group of people without really knowing them, assuming the created label fits with the personality or type of the person that is being labeled.

I have seen lots of people making assumptions by just looking at a person, putting a label to describe the person base on his/her actions, appearance or behaviour. I can see that it is actually a bad habit proving one's lack of critical thinking skill, assuming something is true than finding the facts. Sometimes I wonder if this will ever stop, will people stop judging others with their eyes and ears. Seeing only a narrow view or down grade other people to feel better about themselves, most of the time I have seen that those assumptions were only make them feel good of being 'right'...I have met people who really made harsh judgement, I think this had really allowed me to know the true personality of the person that the others' might not have seen before.

Most people fail to realise that stereotypes do not conclude about a person. In fact, when you accept and trying to understand others, you will feel good or peaceful of letting go of clinging to the way we want people to be.

Because labels are like covering a person's real identity.

Don’t judge.Observe.Explore.Watch your judging mind.

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."- Mother Teresa =)

Sep@ Penang

Signing in and out a couple of times from my company webmail due to unstable internet connection here, so I come here to write little things since I've time. Received the news of my grandpa's passing yesterday morning when I was working, did some quick arrangement onto my work, church and course stuff, we took the night flight back to Penang. The weather here is in a mixture of scorching hot and very heavy rains, there are still lots of relatives and friends attending grandpa's wake.

You will be missed, grandpa. May you rest in peace and may God always take care of you.

A busy August

Friday Evening.

I wish I had more time to be productive for my assignment as the submission date falls on coming week. I find a little slow assignment progress compared to my classmate that I was really busy as a committee for church event in early August, and it's finally on the right track. Life has been hectic for me lately, work keeps piling up and there's another assignment due date in two weeks' time; also there will be song practices for church friend's wedding, so it's making me perpetually impatient waiting for my autumn getaway.

Anyway just got back from dinner with family, at Sankai Japanese restaurant run by sis-in-law's aunt, it's a good place for authentic sushi at a reasonable price. I'll definitely visit again, with my discount card. =D

Steps by Steps. Dots and Lines

It's been a little quiet on this blog lately. That's mainly due to hectic schedule even on the weekends. July, I finally get the opportunity to explore my field of interest, from theoretical to practical studies in the realms of traditional and digital. I was even told that I might get related career direction and the timing amazed me. I believe everything happens for a reason, it truly amazes me the way that God orchestrates things, with His plan and purpose. Learning it's fun, although I'll be pretty busy for a period of time due to the intensive course. =]
Last weekend I was quite excited when my MacBook air arrived, it's unbelievably thin and light, finally my previous six-year-old lappie can have a good rest now. Here's just a peek to my desk at home. =)

May's Favourite

I have seen a lot bloggers and youtube beauty gurus share about their favourites of the month; since it's my birthday month I will write about my May's favourites, as I received birthday gifts and some of my own purchases. So I thought I would share the things or products that I really like.

I received this yesterday as my late birthday present, it's pastel pink earphone that I've been searching everywhere! Thanks cousin!

Received a free gift from Sephora on birthday month. A cute little makeup palette.

I have always wanted a vintage satchel style bag, I've been eyeing such satchel style from Cambridge Satchel to Mulberry Alexa but those are pricey bag brand, so finally this Fossil satchel caught my eye and it's one of my birthday gifts =)

Shiseido Maquillage Face Creator from my Uni friends. Five different colours for cheeks and face for contour and highlight effect.

My recent accessories purchase. I like pairing statement accessories to feminine outfits, it is the easiest way to add a little glam or flavor to any simple outfit.

This cute musical note earrings from my colleagues, I really like it!

White Musk Libertine by Leona Lewis, Wild Rose hand cream, Strawberry body puree.

And the last favourite item will be my nerdy black frame glasses! My first RayBan and I love it =)

Food Confessions

I know my blog has been missing in action recently and I have now realized that I did not write any post in the past month and May is coming to an end...! I'm back! This post I'll recommend some nice places that will serve you excellent food for after work dinner with colleagues or friends. When I was scrolling through pictures of sumptuous meals I had in May on my phone, I think that possible I have already gained some weight recently :(

Anyway the first place I will recommend for Japanese food/ ramen:

Tampopo
391 Orchard Road
#B2-33 Takashimaya Shopping Centre

The pork cutlet has reasonably crispy crust and the meat is so soft and tender it was served separately and I always come back for it although the price seems a little high compared to other Japanese restaurant.

For Mother's Day celebration, went to TGI Fridays for a relax and amazing dinner.

Wisma Jotic 2 Jalan Ayer Molek
80000 Johor Bahru

Baked Potato Skins with Cheddar and Bacon is definitely a must-try appetizer. I have heard that there's frozen product version of this potato skin from TGI Fridays can be found in Walmart but...not in here (>.<)

So here are both the best main course I have ever had at TGI Fridays: Sirloin Steak with Chimichurri Pesto & Beef Ribs with tangy barbecue sauce! The full rack of beef ribs is expertly cooked to ensure they're fall-off-the-bone tender. Highly recommended!

Then it's my personal favourite ice-cream in Marche, Movenpick. =)

#B1-39-45, 313@ Somerset

I picked the Chocolate flavor and my friend's ice cream in hazelnut, they told me the hazelnut-based ice cream tasted just like Kinder Bueno...It was nice I think?? =D

Grilled Sirloin Steak was actually not bad but...compared to TGI Fridays' I prefer......the latter.

And here's meal at MEDZ, a place with same concept as Marche, and it is like Marche gone Mediterranean.  It offers a more diverse dining experience with different stations offering Spanish, Moroccan, French, Turkish, Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

#B2-01/03 Orchard Central, 181 Orchard Rd

Good ambience~

I recommend Grilled Salmon and ROSTI! I have tried Rosti from Marche, and it was too oily for my liking but the Rosti here was crisp at the surface not that oily as compared to Marche. I really like it (!!) until we made a second order. =D

Itacho Sushi
2 Jurong East Central 1
#02-15 JCube

I think I have already talked about this place in my previous food post, anyway it is famous for their 40 cents soy salmon sushi. Itacho is definitely a place for quality and tasty sushi.

BUT....when it comes to their ice-cream, we ordered the black sesame ice-cream and the spoon that came with it surprised us...ice-cream prepared only for kids?

Then on my birthday, the celebration took place at Harry's at Chijmes. I had Chicken Cordon Bleu, comment on the food? erm...quite okay...haha.

So ya,  these places I'll recommend you to pay a visit if you haven't tried or you could recommend me other nice places to eat by leaving a comment below. =)

F.e.b

The second post of the year. It's February~! Uhmm...time has flown by at light speed I did not realised I only wrote a post in previous month (I hope you all like the drawings ^^) and the fast approaching big celebration for Chinese New Year is going to start in this coming weekend!

I thought I can post something like what I've actually purchased recently in the preparation of this celebration, maybe some nice stuff or clothing and accessories that I think girls will pick a few during this season. But, I have already arranged and moved those back to JB so I guess I'll write about that in upcoming post basically all weekends in the beginning of this year were pretty busy.

Ohya I was amazed when I found this drawings in Sundays papers last week as the whole article was about the idea that many of us look forward to the annual reunion dinner but the possible observation we could get nowadays could be kids all clustered around handphones, the advice is that put our handphones, ipads away from dining table; the drawings even shows small screen of phone uploading photo of food on the dining table while eating, some kids playing with phones and an adult talking on the phone. That's a good method using drawings that shows the situation of smartphone addicts nowadays, I hope you all will put 100 percent of concentration to enjoy your family reunion dinner this coming weekend. =)

-In The Bus-

In the bus......

an Indian woman boarded...

...

heavy perfumes..?

suffocating scent @.@

I have no choice but to take out my miniature perfume...applying a little.

Pleasing aroma =)

No offence to any race but it was just my encounter on public transportation with someone that wears very strong-scented, spicy perfume or product. Might have smelt similar strong perfume, but this time the scent was almost suffocating the entire place especially passenger who was sitting next to her. Let me know if you have met anything that you could not tolerate on public transport. =)
