Shoe box wrapping

Heeehee! Finally we got a bigger shoe box and wrapped it!! ^.^v

thought of writing this post yesterday but, I was too tired and lying on my lovely pinky bed. Exhausted....lolx >.<

My back hurts, after sitting on the floor doing the shoe box wrapping for an hour, and tiredness that carried from the morning. Erm, went church practised songs for worship on the next day, I have no idea why I had a feeling of using up all my energy tapping the keys, I didn't take my breakfast? not enough sleep? flu? or due to other reasons? as I have to play quite loud sometimes with the drum accompaniment. Haha, following by a little dizziness in my head after I left the piano bench.
*yet I enjoy playing the grandpiano very much ^-^
nice melody<---found this video, one of the melodies I like~~~

Hm, back to the shoe box wrapping, I wrapped it....as roommie thinks she unable to wrap it nicely, hahaa...what she did then? ?

"ermmmm...Hui Juan, lend me your sellotape..." =D

"oya, the thick beige tape on your left and double sided tape too."

"and I need printed words 'merry christmas' ."
Lolx, she provided me with all types of tapes which I do not have, and stationery for the box wrapping...hehe, thx! ~.^

xmas presentssss! =)

Christmas is less than one month away =D

Christmas Shoe Box

Heard about shoe-box giving from my roommie, asking me whether I want to involve in this chistmas gift giving activity with her, and the selection of the gifts will base on few categories of items. Quite excited when she told me about this .Hehe, christmas is just a month away! ^.^v

Basically we have to pack a shoe box , and fill the box with a variety of gifts, one or more items from each "something" listed according to its category that will bring delight to a child. The categories are something to love, something for school, something to play with, something to wear, something for personal hygiene, and lastly something special.

Those gifts will be sent to orang asli or orphanage and the target group will be 5 to 10 years old children. So we have to get something suitable for the gender and age range of the child, so my roommie and me set it as around 5-6 years old range for a little girl as I think I'm not good in picking gifts for a little boy..haaaha. Then we divided the categories of items we going to get. So last week I have already gone shopping to hunt for those items, and my mum bought few shirts and socks as well to involve in this activity =)

* me and roommie already bought all the items but we haven put them in any shoe box or wrap it, we need a bigger shoe box... >.<
Having mild fever + flu + sore throat, aiks, hope can recover soon~ Dislike the feeling of nose blocked and hardly breathe comfortably when sleeping...ahhhhchhiiieeewWW!!!!! lolx >.<

Okonomiyaki, Japanese pizza

Just learnt making okonomiyaki for dinner, heard about this special Japanese dish from Jo anne who first mentioned the word "okonomiyaki" to me, when we were planning what to teach during cooking class for Japanese Language Festival. Told mum about this dish and she thought of giving a try for this...

Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) is a Japanese dish, so-called Japanese pizza, consisting of a pan-fried batter cake and various ingredients. Okonomi means "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki means "grilled" or "cooked" , thus, the name of this dish means "cook what you like"=)

I use unagi sauce rather than teriyaki sauce, as I like unagi sauce~~~hehe

and seaweed...

first try of okonomiyaki...haha, not in a NICE shape...lolx

before adding toppings...

Here is the finished okonomiyaki....oishii!!!!!

Wanna learn how to cook okonomiyaki? I'm sure you will give a big thumbs up to this!

well the cooking class will be held around first week of March for JLF@ mmu.

Not showing photos of all the ingredients here..haha =p

Anyone who is interested in joining the class please inform me ya =D

Blattodephobia

Let pictures do the talking before I start explaining about the phobia.... =p

Did anything caught your attention in the picture? In case the last picture isn't clear enough to show the irritating creature...I would like to highlight that it is a ....

COCKROACH!!! MR.ROACH!!!

I afraid to piakkk it with newspaper or step it with slipper, so I will let it out of my sight by waiting it out of the room after it lurking around or seek help from family members...haha. But before giving me the thought how to get the creepy bug out of my sight, you will hear me screaming at the top of my voice OR petrified and RUN as fast as I can from it!

If it is FLYING cockroach, hmmm....needless to say, aiks , when it starts to fly~~~~~~~,
I will feel extremely anxious that it might reach towards my direction. Sometimes it takes time before it stop moving, *( before it finally dead ) after giving it "generous" dose of Shieldtox , it crawled around, antennae whipping like crazzzzzyyy , legs stretching or kicking like trying to rub away the poison, *eeeeeuw..., and finally stationary at a corner, then what I do is swept the corpse into dustpan and throw it into the dustbin or flush it away in toilet...Lolx, I know there are people who dare to hold up one antennae using bare hand..really a nauseated sight...!!!

and

blattodephobia= the medical term for fear of cockroaches,

I think there is no blattodephobic gene in my family line...hahaa, but I simply afraid to this horrible creature, I think many people have the same problem gua..

instead of putting REAL Mr. Roach picture here, let me show the cartoon of it....

cute??? NO! lolx

Actually there was another encounter with this ...grrrr!!!! Mr. Roach! which was the scariest one I ever experienced, maybe soon I will post the story about it...stay tuned =)

drawing mood...

Suddenly got the idea of drawing while flipping through my yellowish Japanese-English dictionary doing pass year papers, aiks, my revision for the test get distracted by the thought ….

Here’s the outcome after I got in the mood to draw….hehe

yah…I swim three times a week when I back to hometown, and I prefer breaststroke. Swimming, an excellent all-round aerobic and muscle conditioning sport which often touted as the best form of exercise for weight loss …. Lolx, but it doesn’t help me with that ,hmm, anyway my purpose of swimming not because of that lah…

musics…add colours to my life…

and colours I like are...

Ehem….this is just a picture to show my favourite colours, I won't wear those colours together ...lolx…

yay THREE!!! Three subjects...!

Thank God I finally got the subject, and thanks to W who informed me about the good news!

Never think of having opportunity to take the subject this semester...the one slot is due to an unknown who dropped the subject just after few days.

Got the news when I lying awake in bed, is around 1a.m. and soon going to fall asleep...
Couldn't believe the news, as I did check the adding subjects site few days ago where the co-curriculum still in its full capacity and I already gave up of taking it this semester...

And to K who wants to take the subject this semester too, I regret that I couldn't take this subject with you...thanks for your understanding that I taking two subjects comparing to three that most of you taking in this semester.

2nd sem.

Not listing out the reasons that I not able to register co-curriculum subject, owing to the fact the number of students registered has reached its full capacity....I have missed the chance of taking it.( haizzzzz….my fault) Well there are three subjects for this particular semester, but one of the subjects, Malaysian studies, I credit transfer it at early of first semester as I took it at college before, which left another two subjects and that’s the reason I planned to take co-curriculum to make it three subjects for this semester. Hmm, so now?….two subjects for this semester, which is 6 credit hours and a total of 12 hours classes per week….more free time? lolx.

Yet not forgetting about Japanese language test on December, this can be considered as another “subject” for me. To pass the exam, I really have to put more effort in it, thinking that I'm still weak in listening and grammar part, …hmmm so this semester, not too busy, and not too free either.

And to do better than previous semester, I will start finding something to motivate myself.

*Hmm...found that there's a co-curriculum language subject which still hasn’t reach its full capacity, but...... it clashes with one of my tutorial class…aiks...>.<

Lappie Story

Just two days before going back to Malacca, and finally I can bring my laptop back there! It went for an "operation" and "recovered".yay.hm..life wasn't just bored without lappie there, but was really really bored! Couldn't remember how I survive without it nearly a month, two weeks before and after the raya break.

Well the story goes like this....( Be prepared....don't get shock to the following pictures, I know is kinda children type of drawings) ;p

yah..one afternoon...lolx

slightly adjusted the lappie's screen

right after screen was adjusted, without reason, laptop screen black out!!!!

when approach closely to the screen, I found everything still working, only the screen is black!

pressed the button x10, but the screen....still black... >.<

Went to computer shop to ask about the screen problem, no one able to help me or even diagnose the problem, I was told is problem of the screen light...wires or whatever...so my dad sent it to factory for reparation...
BUT....

when I received the invoice of reparation fees.....

OMG!!!

unexpectedly expensive!!!

This lead to a deduction of my monthly pocket money, as I'm responsible for its "sickness" too...lolx

Ya finally i get to know that my lappie need more "care" and "rest" as it is "weak"due to smaller in size and light on weight, ( honestly I never on my lappie for many hours without letting it "rest" ), anyway hope this will never happen again, lolx.

Holiday@Penang

Part II ..my Penang trip

Besides going back Penang every cny, I just went there in my semester break!
Hehe…spent one week at Penang happily, went there with my mum as dad went overseas with colleagues...
1st day till the 8th day there…definitely would include an eating binge! haha, ate lots of yummy food there, and gained 1kg in a week too..aiks T.T
hmm...hardly list out how I spent my time there day by day…so let me list out some “ho-jiak” food I had there! :p

Penang lobak(Five-Spice Roll), is a fried stuffs tightly wrapped with beancurd skins which served with two types of dipping sauce, hehe, which are sweet sauce and spicy sauce.

other fried stuffs...

cousin with her "fried dough king"

erm...talking about fried dough...there are few names for it, Chinese cruller or fried bread stick but we call it as you char kway in hokkien( ehhh? 油炸鬼? ) , haha...is a classic lightly salted cantonese brekkie actually, but the crispy and chewy fried dough found here so-called "dough king"..lolx, bigger in size than normal fried dough.

another type of fried dough...black sesame on it...

Next is excellent dining experience at "TAO" recommended by cousin and aunty, a Japanese restaurant located at egate, Penang...RM48 for every walk-in or reservation costumers before 6.30pm/ RM55 per person for japanese buffet...heard that there are two outlets in Penang, at E-Gate and Autocity....

so here let me represent the food we had there..Itadakimasu!~~~

steamed scallops a bit spicy but i like it very much!!! it's really nice! ordered 4 plates if not mistaken..hehe :p

Abalone...served with mayonese...yummy!!!

got to snap them quick so that the others can start eating, hehe .The orders would be printed out in long tickets there, is allowed to reorder the food that already ordered, and order any food available in the menu! It's all-you-can-order buffet style!

didn't snap photo of all food I had there... could say forgotten to take too as I can't wait to put them into my mouth, while chit-chatting with relatives ...basically food I like there are butter fish fillets( miso yaki ), lamb chop ( must try! ) but cheesy scallops and abalone are my favourite. =D Sashimi Deluxe is a must too! Chicken skewers and seafood skewers taste normal. Lolx, i think is quite worth and is okay to pamper your stomach once a while with food of high calorific content gua...well let me stop writting about food there prevent anyone start dripping saliva...lolx.

Hm...met my cousin's baby at Penang, kawaii little boy! Lolx, well taking photo of a baby need time and patience if you want a really nice pose of him photo...

little Daniel playing with "grapes", is a decoration...not real grapes...haha

ehh? look at me? lolx

And finally the cutest picture,

kawaii neh! hehe

Holiday@KL

Erm, planning to start a blog here thinking there’s more features available here... This is my first blog post here or whatever you wanna call it, already made an account few weeks ago but due to stressful study week, final exam, I have no time to write, so let me start my first blog post here taking about this semester break, 3 weeks basically is not enough but I have spent it happily and enjoy myself to the fullest.

-Part I-
It was Saturday , 3 days after final exam ended, heading Genting with my family and having a relax and shopaholic weekend there, the cheapest item from things I bought there was…..
skirt from MNG that cost RM10 !!!, there was clothing sale up to 70% there…
the cheapest skirt I ever bought…lolx.

Right after Genting was a memorable korean meal at KL, where I had my first korean meal at the same restaurant few years ago, really love eating kimchi, heard it contains amounts of good nutritions such as vitamin C,and fiber. Erm...not forgetting about korean barbecue too which is marinated in a sause, made with soysauce, garlic, sugar, sesame oil ,and other seasonings....for grilled table top cooking.

The special thingy found this time is there's a smoke exhauster been pulled down near to the stove, prevent “indoor pollution”. lolx…went to The Pavilion then, not many people there and didn’t see many touting shopping bags as well, stopped at The Loaf, a boutique bakery, owned by Tun Dr. Mahathir...

lolx...I had....

cream chocolate~~~which is puff pastry case filled with melted chocolate~~~^.^

Thumbs up to this as you could taste the rich dark chocolate!!

Err… although is on the pricey side, but it is rather worth the money lah...

Other bread...

Baby face bread..cute!..

Uhuhu cakes...

Their famous Uhuhu cheese cake sold for RM6 per piece...variety of flavours such as durian, strawberry, blueberry, pistachio, chocolate and etc...there's about 100 kinds of premium bread, pastries and muffins prepared by a Japanese chef using traditional Japanese baking techniques too....

The thing i must mention is the packaging, is so creative!!!.... like it very much,

a hard cardboard box like a tray lined with paper given when you pick the bread, pay and the cashier will slot the cover for take away....it is environmental friendly, reusable and recyclable.

Stuff there are pricey , but is seriously worth it. >.^
